Cruising Carolina
Cruising Carolina: Currituck  journeys to the far northeastern corner of North
Carolina to explore some of the most remote (and beautiful) wild scenery
anywhere in the state.  Cruising guide author Claiborne Young shares the
serenity of sunsets on Currituck Sound and the majesty of the free roaming
wild horses who inhabit Currituck Banks.  We also explore Mackay Island
National Wildlife Refuge, the quaint villages of Currituck and Corolla, and the
stark beauty of the sand dunes on the world famous Outer Banks.

Also featured is a trip to remote duck hunting blinds with guide Frank Helms; a
visit to the 1875 Currituck lighthouse; and a private look inside the long-closed
Snowden General Store, where relics of merchandise from decades ago still
sit on the shelves.
